Hi, my name is Michael Mootz , founder of Michael Mootz Candies. I started my business in the summer of 1975 by selling fudge at local fairs and farmers markets. We continue to sell at some of the same fairs 30 years later . My wife Debi became an integral part of the business when we were married in 1979. Today, along with our fudge we manufacture a full assortment of incredible chocolates.
Candy has always been part of my life. My father and grandmother were both confectioners. Many of the chocolate recipes that we use today have been in the family for over 70 years. We continue to develop new products, such as our delicious hand decorated mint-meltaway cups.
Our mission is to offer the best fudge, chocolates and service to our customers at an exceptionally competitive price. We take great pride in using the freshest ingredients to create our delicious confections.
Michael Mootz Candies belongs to the Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce and is a proud member of the RCI (Retail Confectioners International) -- An organization comprised of world class confectioners.
